It was on a drive along I-70 in Western Colorado, enroute to leading a women’s retreat, where Kim asked Tami, “Are we going to go for it?”
First, some backstory. In the summer of 2014, Tami Palmer founded Park Ridge Professional Moms to service the community in and around Park Ridge, Illinois. Over the years, the group grew to a point where other area leaders wanted to replicate the concept in their communities. The first local leader to do so was Kim Kleeman, along with her sister, Joy Poli. Together, Kim and Joy started the Glenview/Northbrook chapter. The groups’ successes spread and soon other chapters were popping up in Skokie/Morton Grove, Highland Park/Highwood and Deerfield.
So back to that car ride.
Kim and Tami knew they were on to something big. Could they build a nationwide network connecting professional women across the country?
In January of 2025 they created the Professional Moms Community Network with a clear intent to create a web of interconnected communities spanning the country. The PMCN has aspirations to grow into a nationwide network offering sponsor opportunities for businesses, deep connection for members and maybe even a nationwide annual conference.
